OPTIMIZATION OF PARCEL SIZES MAXIMIZED SPACE UTILIZATION
A large health and beauty manufacturer was challenged by a need to reduce the void space in parcels leaving one of the distribution centers. Minimize so-called “shameful” shipments (almost empty boxes).

On the top of the platform, we built an intelligent software tool that optimizes the number and dimensions of parcels using historical data as a reference. By optimizing the parcel sizes, we reduced the void-fill ratio by 33% and saved the company more than 10% on packing material.
